You gotta be kidding me. It appears Washington Redskins defensive lineman “Fat” Albert Haynesworth is in trouble with the law…again. Hayneworth is being accused sexually assaulting a waitress who works at a W Hotel in DC. According to CBS News:

Police are investigating, and the U.S. Attorney’s office will determine if any charges can be brought against the troubled Haynesworth.

Said Haynesworth’s agent, Chad Speck, in a statement to NBC Washington: “There seems to be no truth to these allegations. We are currently evaluating facts and considering our own legal action against those involved.”

Last month Haynesworth was charged with ’simple assault’ involving a road rage incident. I guess “Fat” Albert is climbing the felony ladder until he finally hits the big time. At this rate, he’ll be up to first degree murder by June.

We call him “Fat” Albert here not just because of his girth, but because of his complete lack of cooperation with his employer regarding his job and his lazy attitude toward doing anything to help his team. Now, it seems there must be some other issues cropping up in Haynesworth life for him to start racking up charges like this. It’s probably time for a little introspection…before Albert kills someone.

The Washington Huskies have just beaten the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl 19-7. The score ended up being much closer than the actual play on the field. And Nebraska fans have every reason to be disappointed in their team’s effort. The Cornhuskers were embarrassed tonight, gaining only 189 yards of total offense against a 6-6 Huskies team that lost to Nebraska by 35 points in September. It may be, in fact, an eerie omen for a team that lost to Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship and has lost 2 out of its last 3 contests.

Perhaps it is a fitting end to the “old” Nebraska Cornhuskers football team, on it’s way out of the Big 12 for the greener, more financially verdant pastures of the Big 10. For decades, the former Big 8 Conference was blessed by the arrogance of Cornhusker football. Its followers were never at a loss to remind fans of lesser programs that Lincoln was the center of the college football universe. In fact, Nebraska’s Chancellor Harvey Perlman intimated that the university, itself, was better than the likes of Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Missouri:

“I think we are as an institution more closely aligned in culture, competitive conditions, athletic budgets and academic aspirations of the big 10 than with the big 12.”

Translation: We’re tired of slumming it in the Big 12 and we think we can make a lot more money playing better football programs in a bigger television conference. Keep in mind, this is Nebraska we’re talking about; a place known primarily for…corn. But that doesn’t matter to Nebraska or its fans. They still believe, without a doubt, that they’re better in football, academics, cow-tipping, what have you.

The loss to Washington tonight, however, gives Nebraska an unlikely gift; a chance to learn a modicum of humility. It’s a perfect opportunity to step into the Big 10 with a healthy reverence for that conference and a little respect for the likes of Wisconsin, Northwestern and Ohio State. Because, in truth, there are no more bridges left for Nebraska to burn in the Big 12. From the Cornhuskers routinely running up scores, to complaining about phantom calls on the field, to that Gollum-esque head coach Bo Pelini stalking the sidelines looking for the One Ring and cussing out opposing coaches and players, the rest of the the Big 12 is done with Nebraska.

This beautiful loss to Washington was just the proverbial door smacking Nebraska in the ass on its way out.

Washington Redskins bench warmer extraordinaire Robert Henson had one of the bigger Twitter fails in pro-athlete tweeting on Sunday after the Skins 9-7 win over the lowly St. Louis Rams. Many Redskins fans during the second half booed presumably over the play calling of head coach Jim Zorn.

Henson, who has yet to ever play a down in the NFL, took to tweeting his frustrations after the game, and in the process called Redskins fans “dim wits” and made fun of them for working at “Mcdonalds.”

All you fake half hearted Skins fan can . . . I won’t go there, but I dislike you very strongly, don’t come to Fed Ex to boo dim wits!!

No I didn’t play but I still made more than you in a year and you’d (gladly) switch spots with me in a second. …

I was talking to the fans (who) said the crazy stuff, I’m use (to heckling) but I’ve never been booed in my own stadium.

Again, that was for the half hearted but if everyone wants to jump in, come on. The question is who are you to say you know what’s best for the team, and you work 9 to 5 at Mcdonalds [sic].

Henson humbly described himself in his Twitter bio as “one of the top performers” from Texas Christian.

I am a husband, father, and football player to sum it all up. I just finished college at Texas Christian University where I was one of the top performers.

I say 6th round draft picks who have yet to play a single minute in the NFL should quit pretending to be a somebody in the league before they are quickly 86′ed out of the league. It is one thing for Terrell Owens or Chad Ochocinco to rant on Twitter, but Henson is a nobody and if anything put his current job in jeopardy with his loose fingers.

Some of the funnier Twitter responses to @RedskinsLB51 (Henson) on Twitter:

The whole incident reminds me of Mark Cuban making a similar remark about those that work at Dairy Queen.
