Tim Tebow fever and hysteria has hit an all-time high in the wake of the Denver Broncos winning streak from a series of late-game heroics.  That pitch has hit an all-time high this week and Saturday Night Live didn’t bypass a comedic opportunity to cash in on the Tebow craze.

In the skit, Jesus Christ visits the Broncos locker room following the Broncos overtime win over the Chicago Bears last weekend.

An amazed Tebow practically jumps Jesus before Jesus tells him to back off and sit down so he can speak.

Jesus played by actor Jason Sudeikis, “Well, you know, here’s the thing.  I just go where people call me the most. Nowadays, that is a lot of football games. Also, the country music awards. You know, I decide all of those.  Agghh, I’m right there at any black event where food is served.”

“You guys have to help yourselves a little bit.”

“You’ve got to meet me in the middle!”

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, fresh off a divorce, is denying rumors that she is dating Denver Broncos star quarterback Tim Tebow.  She watched the Broncos win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday from the Tebow family box at the game.

She tweeted: “Hearing a lot of crazy rumors but rest assured I am NOT dating Tim Tebow (or anyone else). I’m just friends with his family. xo, LV”

Well most things usually start as friends.  If Tebow did wreck her marriage then it would be one of the more compelling bits of drama in sports given Tebow’s strong beliefs.

Tim Tebow continues to prove both his detractors and supports right. On Thursday night, Tebow played hard but his results were sub-par before the 4th quarter.

Then in the 4th quarter he led the Denver Broncos on a long 95-yard drive that he finished with a 20-yard run up the left sideline, as he alluded several New York Jets defenders, for the heroic game-winning touchdown.

Tebow finished with 9-20 for 104 yards (0 TD, 0 INT) along with 8 carries for 68 yards and the game-winning touchdown.

The Broncos are now 5-5 on the season and 4-1 since Tebow took over as the starting quarterback.

ESPN NFL analyst Merril Hoge was scathing in his opinion of Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow earlier tonight on ESPN.

Some would argue that Hoge was just doing his job while others thought he was just looking for ways to slam Tebow.

Merril slammed Tebow on Twitter in this fashion:

“Sitting watching tape off bronco offense from last year! Orton or Tebow? It’s embarrassing to think the broncos could win with tebow!!”

Hoge had the following to add about Tebow on ESPN:

“He is awful as far as accuracy goes and what’s kind of even more disturbing, he’s probably worse moving and running around with the football and throwing than he is from the pocket,” Hoge said. “Can you get better there? A little bit. If everything is perfect, the pocket, your feet are good, all your fundamentals come into place, the coverage is what you want it, you can be successful. But that doesn’t happen at the National Football League. Rarely does that happen.”

Tebow sarcastically thanked Hoge via Twitter:

Then unexpectedly LeBron James unleashed a series of tweets in Tim’s defense:

Tim Tebow will succeed in the NFL. He’s a hard worker, a student of the game, a natural born leader and most of all a WINNER! It takes time and he’ll be nice

Listened to Merril Hoge today on SC and he was just blasting Tebow. The man hasn’t even play a full season and its only his 2nd year in.

Guys get on that TV and act like they was all WORLD when they played. How bout encouraging him and wishing him the best instead of hating!!

James is right though. Tim has been successful at nearly everything he has performed in life, even down to helping give circumcisms in the Phillipines while doing missionary work.

Tebow has just played his rookie year and showed promise over the three games he started. He also showed that he had a lot of work to do as well to complete the transition to the NFL.  It’s also hard to believe that anyone out there is outworking Tim Tebow in the offseason or in-season.

Nice PR move by LeBron for the deeply beloved Tebow.  But in some ways Tebow is very polarizing and might have taken the polarizing QB mantle from the on-again, off-again retired Brett Favre.

While Kyle Orton has been nursing sore ribs, Denver Broncos’ second-string quarterback Tim Tebow has been taking a majority of the first team snaps.  According to the Associated Press, Tebow may see significant action this weekend in Oakland against the Raiders.  He might even start.

Orton sat out practice Wednesday and it has yet to be determined if he’s been participating in today’s practice.  With Tebow taking over as the starting qb – at least in practice – Brady Quinn has also gotten some work in and will be listed as the backup to Tebow if Orton can’t play on Sunday.

One of the most celebrated quarterbacks in NCAA history and a first round draft pick, Tebow’s only NFL action has been against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 14.  He threw a 3-yard touchdown pass.

Perhaps Tebow’s quick feet can help buy him time against the Raiders’ pass rush.  If not, Oakland’s D-Line will likely be showing him the turf all afternoon.  Welcome to the NFL kid.

Denver Broncos rookie QB Tim Tebow is a big fan of the hyperbaric chamber.  He reportedly used one his last couple of seasons playing for the Florida Gators.

Now that Tebow is in the ‘Mile High’ city he made sure to have it delivered there to help with his recovery time from injuries and such.

Tebow purchased the chamber for $20,000 dollars two years ago and uses it for 60-90 minutes after practices and games according to Pikes Peak Hyperbaric.

The fad might have been started by Michael Jackson back in the mid-80’s, but several NFL players use hyperbaric chambers to help out.

Every NFL rookie has to carry pads, backs, pick up tabs, and endure a good bit of hazing during training camp.  Tim Tebow is no exception, as the Denver Broncos veterans got out the shears and turned ‘Tebow the Saint’ into ‘Tebow the Monk.’

Running back LenDale White was likely involved as he tweeted the photo to his Twitter along with the caption, “Look at tebow new hair style lmao… Loks good ROOK!!!!!!!!”

One Twitter user commented that the chop also made TT look like Jesus Christ did on the cross with his crown of thorns.
