Tim Tebow fever and hysteria has hit an all-time high in the wake of the Denver Broncos winning streak from a series of late-game heroics.  That pitch has hit an all-time high this week and Saturday Night Live didn’t bypass a comedic opportunity to cash in on the Tebow craze.

In the skit, Jesus Christ visits the Broncos locker room following the Broncos overtime win over the Chicago Bears last weekend.

An amazed Tebow practically jumps Jesus before Jesus tells him to back off and sit down so he can speak.

Jesus played by actor Jason Sudeikis, “Well, you know, here’s the thing.  I just go where people call me the most. Nowadays, that is a lot of football games. Also, the country music awards. You know, I decide all of those.  Agghh, I’m right there at any black event where food is served.”

“You guys have to help yourselves a little bit.”

“You’ve got to meet me in the middle!”

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, fresh off a divorce, is denying rumors that she is dating Denver Broncos star quarterback Tim Tebow.  She watched the Broncos win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday from the Tebow family box at the game.

She tweeted: “Hearing a lot of crazy rumors but rest assured I am NOT dating Tim Tebow (or anyone else). I’m just friends with his family. xo, LV”

Well most things usually start as friends.  If Tebow did wreck her marriage then it would be one of the more compelling bits of drama in sports given Tebow’s strong beliefs.

Tim Tebow continues to prove both his detractors and supports right. On Thursday night, Tebow played hard but his results were sub-par before the 4th quarter.

Then in the 4th quarter he led the Denver Broncos on a long 95-yard drive that he finished with a 20-yard run up the left sideline, as he alluded several New York Jets defenders, for the heroic game-winning touchdown.

Tebow finished with 9-20 for 104 yards (0 TD, 0 INT) along with 8 carries for 68 yards and the game-winning touchdown.

The Broncos are now 5-5 on the season and 4-1 since Tebow took over as the starting quarterback.

TMZ is reporting that out-of-work NFL receiver Terrell Owens tried to kill himself on October 6, 2011 according to a 911 call made by his personal assistant.

Owens reportedly overdosed on pills according to his assistant:

During the call, placed at 11:02 PM, the dispatcher asks the assistant on the phone, “Was this a suicide attempt?” — and she responds, “Yes, I believe so.”

While she was on the phone with the dispatcher, the woman claims T.O. was “talking to his girlfriend, ex-girlfriend … [I]don’t really know what you wanna call it.”

The same thing happened with Owens back in 2006 when he took 35 Vicodin and later claimed he just had a bad reaction to the pain pills.

Owens last played football for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010.  He has been rehabbing a torn knee ligament and just this week worked out in hopes of a NFL team signing him for the remainder of the season.

If this 911 call turns out to be legit then T.O. should be ordered to undergo counseling and seek medical help.

The Oakland Raiders have posted on it’s team website that owner Al Davis is dead at the age of 82.

In these memorable 48 years, the Raiders have had 28 winning seasons, including 16 in a row from 1965 through the 1980 World Championship season. In 34 of those seasons, the Raiders earned a record of  .500 or better.

Al Davis’ six-decade professional football story, from assistant coach of the Chargers, to head coach and general manager of the Raiders, to Commissioner of the American Football League and finally to principal owner and president of the general partner of The Oakland Raiders — is a standard that no one in the history of professional football can match for winning and excellence.

RIP Al Davis. You changed the game! You will be missed!

Hall-of-Fame NFL player Deion Sanders is divorcing his wife Pilar Sanders for…becoming too famous?

That is the reason that the media-hungry Sanders is giving for now:

“Enough is enough. I never signed up for all this. Enough is enough.,” he said of his wife of 11 years. “If I wanted a model or a television star I would have married one a long time ago. All I wanted was a housewife.”

How degrading to women. Sanders should have just continued on to say, “A woman’s place is in the kitchen!”

Talk about a hypocrite!

Pilar now has her own reality television show.

Pilar was in modeling and music videos before meeting Neon Deion. She was also a part of Deion’s own reality television show.

(Of course the real reason is more likely that Prime Time got caught shacking up with a 19-year old and is trying to keep Pilar from divorcing him first and taking his mountain of gold.)

Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett really LOVES him some Skip Bayless…well at least for a day…or photo!

Dockett was photographed wearing a shirt that says ‘I(heart)@realskipbayless‘ that was posted on his Twitter (@ddockett) and on Skip’s (@realskipbayless) today.

Skip went on to say to Darnell on Twitter:

I told Darnell Dockett if he wears “ILove@RealSkipBayless” Tshirt under his jersey Sunday, he’ll have THE CLUTCH GENE. Will make Big Play.

Dockett was wearing the shirt after losing a bet with Bayless over who would win the Oklahoma – Florida State football game last weekend.  Oklahoma won 23-13.

Dockett played his college ball at Florida State.  If FSU had won, Bayless would have had to wear a LeBron James jersey on the air for ESPN’s First Take where Bayless is a controversial ‘expert’ pot-stirrer.  Bayless was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Former NFL player Orlando Brown has been found dead in his Baltimore apartment.  He was 40-years old.

Brown spent his career with the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.

He was injured back in 1999 when a referee threw a flag that went through his face-mask and hit him in the eye leaving permanent damage.  Brown reportedly received $25 million in a settlement from the NFL over the incident.

Brown was the owner of a Fatburger franchise in Maryland.
