Today, it was reported that former Tennessee Vols basketball coach Bruce Pearl would be handed a 3-year ’show-cause’ penalty from the NCAA. One of the harshest penalties the NCAA can levy against a (former) head coach.

The Syracuse Orange were consistent throughout both halves on Friday in putting away the Indiana State Sycamores 77-60.
The Orange were led by Rick Jackson who scored 23 points. Syracuse hit the boards hard and played solid defense throughout in the victory.

The Oklahoma Sooners have fired head basketball coach Jeff Capel according to Seth Davis via his Twitter.
Capel had a 82-51 record at Oklahoma and made $1.5 million dollars this past season. He coached at VCU before taking over the Oklahoma program in 2006.
