Any talks or negotiations that offered the slimmest glimmer of hope that the NFL and the Players’ Union could hammer out their differences around a new collective bargaining agreement are officially out the window. The NFL has just filed ‘unfair labor practice’ charges and the NFLPA.

The NFL and the NFLPA have cancelled scheduled negotiations for Thursday February 10. No reason has been given other than the fact that neither side wants to give up anything, and posturing like that is rarely good for compromise. According the SI:
