He didn’t exactly succeed as a head coach, but few can argue with the man’s skills as a defensive coordinator. Pat Shurmur, recently anointed head coach of the Cleveland Browns, has just announced Dick Jauron as his new d-coordinator. Sports Illustrated reports:

According to Adam Schefter at ESPN, the Denver Broncos have requested permission to interview Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams for Denver’s vacant head coach position. Hiring Williams would be an interesting move for Denver considering the Broncos’ offensive proclivities. But maybe owner Pat Bowlen thinks it’s time for a change.
