Blake Griffin, of the L.A. Clippers, threw it down so hard on the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kendrick Perkins tonight that he might have destroyed Perkins for the foreseeable future.

In one of the most powerful dunks in recent NBA history Griffin took a pass off the pick-n-roll from Chris Paul and jumped higher than anyone on the court before tomahawking the ball back and bringing down the thunder on the Thunder’s center.

Tim Tebow fever and hysteria has hit an all-time high in the wake of the Denver Broncos winning streak from a series of late-game heroics.  That pitch has hit an all-time high this week and Saturday Night Live didn’t bypass a comedic opportunity to cash in on the Tebow craze.

In the skit, Jesus Christ visits the Broncos locker room following the Broncos overtime win over the Chicago Bears last weekend.

An amazed Tebow practically jumps Jesus before Jesus tells him to back off and sit down so he can speak.

Jesus played by actor Jason Sudeikis, “Well, you know, here’s the thing.  I just go where people call me the most. Nowadays, that is a lot of football games. Also, the country music awards. You know, I decide all of those.  Agghh, I’m right there at any black event where food is served.”

“You guys have to help yourselves a little bit.”

“You’ve got to meet me in the middle!”

Erin said she loved the CrossFit workout. Whether that is true or not is irrelevant, because her CrossFit demonstration provided for a very hot photo shoot of the photogenic sideline reporter.

The Georgetown Hoyas, much like the U.S. economy, got owned in China last night when a fight broke out between the Hoyas and Chinese professional team Bayi Rockets.

The game had already been stopped a couple of times when suddenly one of the best basketball brawls of all-time suddenly unfolded.  It started in the Hoyas backcourt after a scramble for the ball.  It appears in the video that the Hoyas player then hit or elbowed the Bayi player who responded with dragon fire.

All hell then broke loose at that point.

The fans were throwing bottles and chairs as it appeared every player from both teams were going at each other on the court.

Once order was restored, the game was ended and not resumed.

Hoyas coach John Thompson III miraculously played down the incident in this way:

“Tonight, two great teams played a very competitive game that unfortunately ended after heated exchanges with both teams,” Thompson said in a statement. “We sincerely regret that this situation occurred.

It looks like the Hoyas got punked by Bayi.

A very ugly incident for both teams and the sport.

With the game tied 137-137 last night in the Drew League the ball was in Kobe Bryant’s hands as he used his dribble to set up James Harden for…wait for it…the game winner!

Kobe was then mobbed on the court by fans before he took off his shoes and threw them to two lucky fans.

Remember back in the day when the NBA was in existence and Bryant would play in front of 20,000 people? Yeah, those were the days!

But who needs TNT when you have You Tube pickup game footage?

LeBron James was spreading his empire to Taiwan this week for a Nike event when he found himself in a game of 5-5 with some vertically challenged local products.

LeBron went all dribble-athon before the Taiwanese player stripped him off the ball, dribbled the length of the court, and dunked on LeBron as King James tried to block the shot.

Quite the athletic play by the young lad.

James then overcompensated by rushing the ball up the court, traveled 4 steps, and then threw it off his teammate out of bounds.

No word from Nike or local officials if this was in the 4th quarter of the game or not.

Kevin Durant was back streetballing last night in New York City.  Earlier this week he scored 66 points at NYC’s famed Rucker Park.

This time Durant was displaying his mad skills at Dyckman Park in Washington Heights, and KD brought Timberwolves problem child Michael Beasley with him this time.

Beasley is a time bomb waiting to go off during a NBA game so you can imagine it might get dicey when a whacked-out heckler started going off on him during the game last night at Dyckman.

So Beasley did what Beas do! Beasley yelled back, went over to him, yelled some more in his face, then shoved the heckling fan in the face (Check out the video above!).

It’s fun to see these NBA players in a different setting and playing these pickup games in the parks, but it won’t be long before something tragic happens to either the players or the fans.  All it takes is one thug bringing a gun into a game trying to make his name in the papers and be known as the gangsta that killed NBA star X or Y.

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina finally had enough of home umpire Rob Drake’s widely inconsistent strike zone on Tuesday night when he exploded in a fit of anger in the 10th inning against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Molina struck out looking at a pitch about 7 inches inside according to the Fox Trax.  Molina turned around and cussed out Drake in about 7 languages as he was extremely hot. The two bumped and during Yadier’s pitbull explosion Drake acted like he got spit on in the face.

As you can tell by the video it appears that Molina didn’t intentionally spit on Drake. It looks like Molina’s pitbull on crack explosion created a bit of foam that might have hit the ump as he was yelling at him.  Drake did a Danny Ainge worthy flop job of selling the spit to the face.

Molina after the game, “I would never spit on any face or man. That’s not me.”

Drake’s strike zone was inconsistent towards the teams throughout the night and it only got worse as the game reached extra innings. Drake also missed a call at 1st base the night before that cost the Cardinals.

Molina’s reaction was misguided and will cost the catcher several games due to suspension. It could be very costly for the Cardinals who are in a tight pennant race with the Brewers.

The game was one of the more entertaining games of the year as the Cardinals scored the winning run on a bloop single by Lance Berkman in the 11th inning to win the game 8-7 over the Brewers.  The win moves the Cardinals to just 2 1/2 games back.

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant went bananas last night at NYC’s famed Rucker Park during a street ball game.

He absolutely caught fire and couldn’t miss in the 4th quarter. He was draining three after three before the crowd rushed the court when he hit the last shot of the game.

Durant made 9 out of 11 three pointers and five straight in the fourth quarter. His 66 points was the third most in Rucker Park history.
