He didn’t exactly succeed as a head coach, but few can argue with the man’s skills as a defensive coordinator. Pat Shurmur, recently anointed head coach of the Cleveland Browns, has just announced Dick Jauron as his new d-coordinator. Sports Illustrated reports:

The NFL Pulse Awards is allowing fans to vote for their favorite players in three different categories: Emerging Player, Comeback Player and Heart of the Game. Like any fan list, there are a few perfectly reasonable names included. However, the site has chosen to place some players in rather odd categories.
