Michael Gilchrist, the #1 prep basketball recruit in the 2011 recruiting class, gave a verbal on Wednesday to the Kentucky Wildcats.
The announcement came as no surprise as many have believed Gilchrist would pop up collegiately wherever Wildcats basketball coach John Calipari was coaching.

2010 #1 overall high school recruit Brandon Knight announced on Wednesday that he will head to Lexington in the fall to play for John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats.

Kentucky Wildcats assistant basketball coach Rod Strickland, the NBA’s eighth all-time leader in assists and most famous for eating multiple hot dogs during half-time of games, was arrested for DUI early Sunday morning by Lexington, KY police.. Strickland has three prior DUI arrests.
