Memphis had been [...]

Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen has been called a lot of things. He is for sure one of the most hard-nosed, tough defensive players in the NBA.
He is also rather humorous, unpredictable, and perhaps the last person in the NBA you want to piss off (just ask O.J. Mayo).
Allen, with his Playoff beard and min-fro [...]

Woah. The refs have really become sticklers lately. That, or they’re just tired of having their boneheaded mistakes pointed out to them by everyone else in the arena. That’s about the only excuse that can be given for the 2nd technical foulcalled on Marc Gasol during the Spurs-Grizzlies game Tuesday night.
Players and coaches point at [...]

The Memphis Grizzlies, who traded dead-weight center Hasheem Thabeet to the Rockets just minutes ago, have now traded troubled backup shooting-guard O.J. Mayo to the Indiana Pacers for power forward Josh McRoberts and a 1st round draft pick.

The Houston Rockets did the unthinkable before the trade deadline today…they traded crafty Shane Battier and Ish Smith to the Memphis Grizzlies for NBA Draft bust Hasheem Thabeet, DeMaree Carroll and a protected 1st round draft pick.
Thabeet is a bust. He struggles to simply run/walk/trot up and down the court. This is a huge deal [...]

It is the season that never seems to end. There are only 80 games per team, but the post-season in the NBA makes it seem like 160. So how do good NBA teams keep up their hot runs or bad teams find the the will to get off the snide? Nobody really knows. Again, it’s [...]

Everybody makes mistakes, right? Who doesn’t occasionally make some boneheaded move they wish they could take back that adversely affects their career through supposedly no fault of their own? Well, frankly, most people. Why? Because when they’ve got a multi-million dollar contract to think about, most people just don’t guzzle “whatever” from a gas station, [...]
