NBC Sports is reporting that a “drug-related assault” took place at Memphis Grizzlies’ PF Zach Randolph’s home in Oregon over the weekend.

At 12:30 a.m. this morning, detectives with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office’s homicide and violent crimes unit served the warrant at Randolph’s home, at 1425 SW Turner Road.
Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. James Rhodes said Randolph [...]

It took ten years in Memphis to get to this point, but the Grizzlies are finally making believers out of their fans.  Last night, Memphis beat the San Antonio Spurs 99-91 and became only the second No. 8 seed to finish off a No. 1 seed in NBA playoff history.  According to ESPN:
Memphis had been [...]

Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen has been called a lot of things. He is for sure one of the most hard-nosed, tough defensive players in the NBA.
He is also rather humorous, unpredictable, and perhaps the last person in the NBA you want to piss off (just ask O.J. Mayo).
Allen, with his Playoff beard and min-fro [...]

Woah.  The refs have really become sticklers lately.  That, or they’re just tired of having their boneheaded mistakes pointed out to them by everyone else in the arena.  That’s about the only excuse that can be given for the 2nd technical foulcalled on Marc Gasol during the Spurs-Grizzlies game Tuesday night.

Players and coaches point at [...]

It looks like the Indiana Pacers weren’t all that concerned about OJ Mayo’s problem with banned substances this season.  According to this Memphis News tweet:

The Memphis Grizzlies, who traded dead-weight center Hasheem Thabeet to the Rockets just minutes ago, have now traded troubled backup shooting-guard O.J. Mayo to the Indiana Pacers for power forward Josh McRoberts and a 1st round draft pick.
UPDATE: HOLD THE MAYO – O.J. trade to the Pacers came after the trade deadline buzzer and will [...]

Thabeet is a bust. He struggles to simply run/walk/trot up and down the court.  This is a huge deal [...]

The Denver Nuggets handled the Memphis Grizzlies tonight in the Nuggets’ first game without superstar Carmelo Anthony 120-107.  Despite losing their  monster scorer and basketball poster boy to the New York Knicks, Denver scored 120 points for the ninth time this season.  According to Yahoo Sports:

“Our guys, when their backs are confronted with a difficult [...]

It is the season that never seems to end.  There are only 80 games per team, but the post-season in the NBA makes it seem like 160.  So how do good NBA teams keep up their hot runs or bad teams find the the will to get off the snide?  Nobody really knows.  Again, it’s [...]

Everybody makes mistakes, right?  Who doesn’t occasionally make some boneheaded move they wish they could take back that adversely affects their career through supposedly no fault of their own?  Well, frankly, most people.  Why?  Because when they’ve got a multi-million dollar contract to think about, most people just don’t guzzle “whatever” from a gas station, [...]
