Blake Griffin, of the L.A. Clippers, threw it down so hard on the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kendrick Perkins tonight that he might have destroyed Perkins for the foreseeable future.

In one of the most powerful dunks in recent NBA history Griffin took a pass off the pick-n-roll from Chris Paul and jumped higher than anyone on the court before tomahawking the ball back and bringing down the thunder on the Thunder’s center.

NBA star Kevin Durant found a game of flag football via Twitter on the Oklahoma State campus Monday night.

The Oklahoma City Thunder forward surprised many by showing up to play in the fraternity, intramural game for Sigma ‘Who’ Nu.

KD and his massive wing-span naturally dominated the game.  He threw 4 touchdowns and caught 3 interceptions.

No one has had a better NBA Lockout than Durant. He simply gets it! He understands what it takes to be popular and to win people over to his side. He is also young and not afraid to do the things that interest him. He seems himself as a regular person and we all benefit from that. LeBron could learn a thing or two from KD.

The golden shower is over for newlyweds Kim Kardashian and New Jersey Nets power forward Kris Humphries according to TMZ.

Kim K has filed for a divorce after just 72 days of wedded bliss to Hump-man.

Casting calls for Kim’s next boyfriend are taking place in profissional sports locker rooms all across the United States.

Kardashian was previously in a 2-year relationship with Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush before rushing into marriage with Humphries.

The NBA lockout has lasted nearly 130 days at this point. Advantage: David Stern.

Kris was Kim’s 2nd husband. She was married just as briefly several years ago to Damon Thomas (see photo HERE).

Author Joe McGinniss has leaked to the National Enquirer the extremely juicy tidbit (rumor) from his upcoming book that former NBA all-star and Michigan Wolverines great Glen Rice hooked up with political heat magnet Sarah Palin while his Wolverines were playing a tournament back in Alaska in 1987.

Palin was working at a news station in Anchorage at the time.

The National Enquirer reports it this way:

Sarah hooked up with the NBA great, then a 6-foot-8 junior at the University of Michigan when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska in 1987, the book says. At the time, Sarah, just out of college, was working as a sports reporter for the Anchorage TV station KTUU.

A publishing source told The ENQUIRER that McGinniss claims Sarah had a “fetish” for black men at the time and he quotes a friend as saying Sarah had “hauled (Rice’s) ass down.”

In the book, McGinniss quotes Rice as confirming the one-night stand.

WOW, if truely true, then a blockbuster story that we weren’t expecting to hear. Of course Joe McGinniss is trying to sell copies of his upcoming highly-anticipated book “The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin” and has had an axe to grind with Palin for quite some time.

True or not, it sure just made Wednesday a lot more interesting.

All the ‘Nailin’ Palin’ jokes are back in full effect. ‘Nailin’ Palin’ was a cheap porn that was made with a Palin look alike two years ago.

NBC Sports is reporting that a “drug-related assault” took place at Memphis Grizzlies’ PF Zach Randolph’s home in Oregon over the weekend.

At 12:30 a.m. this morning, detectives with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office’s homicide and violent crimes unit served the warrant at Randolph’s home, at 1425 SW Turner Road.

Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. James Rhodes said Randolph was home at the time police served the warrant.

Rhodes said the search warrant came as part of a drug-related assault that occurred at the home early Saturday morning.

A man who was at the home told police he was assaulted with a pool cue by multiple people; Randolph was at home at the time of the incident, Rhodes said, but was not a suspect in the assault.

Assault by a pool cue is some Clue-like gangsta ish!

According to NWCN.com victim James Beasley told them that he went to Randolph’s house to sell marijuana.  Beasley went on to say there was a disagreement about price and that he was then beaten up by several men with (pool) cue sticks.

Beasley, who met with KGW along with his brother, suffered a concussion in the attack.

The brother of the victim, Robert, told KGW that he and his brother ware extremely “disappointed” with Randolph and felt he could have stopped the attack.

“I am very, very disappointed,” said Robert. “Zach was there and should have stopped it. He could have stopped it.’

UPDATE: Beasley says in TV interview (watch HERE) that he tried to sell the weed to Z-Bo for $200.  Randolph thought the price was too high and went on to rip the weed out of Beasley’s hand.  Then Randolph’s thugs/friends roughed up Beasley and beat him with pool cues.

Randolph, as stated above, is not a suspect, but with Randolph’s troubled past this has to worry you.  As a Grizzlies fan this is very bothersome considering that Randolph just signed a massive contract extension in the off-season.

Randolph had his most successful season of his NBA career this past season. Some even dared to call him a superstar for his superb play during the NBA Playoffs.

With the game tied 137-137 last night in the Drew League the ball was in Kobe Bryant’s hands as he used his dribble to set up James Harden for…wait for it…the game winner!

Kobe was then mobbed on the court by fans before he took off his shoes and threw them to two lucky fans.

Remember back in the day when the NBA was in existence and Bryant would play in front of 20,000 people? Yeah, those were the days!

But who needs TNT when you have You Tube pickup game footage?

LeBron James was spreading his empire to Taiwan this week for a Nike event when he found himself in a game of 5-5 with some vertically challenged local products.

LeBron went all dribble-athon before the Taiwanese player stripped him off the ball, dribbled the length of the court, and dunked on LeBron as King James tried to block the shot.

Quite the athletic play by the young lad.

James then overcompensated by rushing the ball up the court, traveled 4 steps, and then threw it off his teammate out of bounds.

No word from Nike or local officials if this was in the 4th quarter of the game or not.

Kevin Durant was back streetballing last night in New York City.  Earlier this week he scored 66 points at NYC’s famed Rucker Park.

This time Durant was displaying his mad skills at Dyckman Park in Washington Heights, and KD brought Timberwolves problem child Michael Beasley with him this time.

Beasley is a time bomb waiting to go off during a NBA game so you can imagine it might get dicey when a whacked-out heckler started going off on him during the game last night at Dyckman.

So Beasley did what Beas do! Beasley yelled back, went over to him, yelled some more in his face, then shoved the heckling fan in the face (Check out the video above!).

It’s fun to see these NBA players in a different setting and playing these pickup games in the parks, but it won’t be long before something tragic happens to either the players or the fans.  All it takes is one thug bringing a gun into a game trying to make his name in the papers and be known as the gangsta that killed NBA star X or Y.
