St. Louis Cardinals ace starting pitcher Adam Wainwright is currently on a flight back to St. Louis to have a ligament in his right elbow examined.
The official Cardinals Twitter account (@cardsinsider) stated on Wednesday morning, “At this time things don’t look good, will have more info after he sees doctors.”

The St. Louis Cardinals traded RF Ryan Ludwick, in a 3-team trade, to the San Diego Padres on Saturday.
The Cardinals in return receive SP Jake Westbrook from the Cleveland Indians and cash, along with minor league pitcher Nick Greenwood from the Padres.

Albert Pujols was a guest this afternoon on The Late Show with David Letterman (it will air later tonight). Dave had a nice chat with Albert before he asked Pujols to take some batting practice on 53rd Street.
