Charles Barkley who raised a storm nearly two decades ago with his ‘Athletes Are Not Role Models’ Nike commercials has taken it upon himself to respond to Augusta National chairman Billy Payne’s opening presser comments on Tiger Woods yesterday at The Masters.

Barkley made the comments on ESPN Radio’s The Scott Van Pelt Show to co-host Ryen Casillas.

“I’m trying to calm down Ryan to be honest with you cause I’m so hot under the collar at all the BS that has just been happening for the last few months.  Billy Payne took his pain, feel like its his place to chastise Tiger.”

“You know the whole hypocrisy of this of this whole sports scene just drives me nuts.   All these reporters that want to play God, judge and jury on somebody’s private life.”

“I’m just trying to be calm man cause I dont want to say anything, cause im not the type of person where if i say it I’m gonna take it to the next level.  you know cause i just can’t let all this BS just go.   If i see Billy Payne i’m just give him a piece of my mind. tell him to keep his damn opinion to himself.  Nobody cares what he thinks!  Nobody cares what billy payne thinks.”

“Billy Paine ain’t told his kids and grandkids, ‘Hey ya’ll be like Tiger Woods,’ give me a break!”

Barkley has perhaps the ugliest golf swing in human history as can be witnessed below:

Tiger probably just wishes Charles would shut up. Most blame Barkley and Michael Jordan to introducing Tiger to their wild lifestyles of gambling and loose Vegas women.

Barkley responded to the accusation on The Scott Van Pelt show:

“Tiger’s a grown man and I thought the whole thing was funny that we knew this stuff was going on and I will say this, even if i knew it was going on it’s none of my business. I had no idea it was going on. Not speaking for Michael. But i want to make it perfectly clear if i had known its still none of my business. What you do – what Scott do – what Michael do, what my brother do in their personal life that ain’t none of my business and America wants you to feel like what you do in your personal business is their business. It’s not their personal business.”

“I feel bad for the Jesse James-Sandra Bullock thing, but it ain’t my business. It ain’t going to make my life bad.”

And the only advice Sir Charles said he has ever given Tiger? Well it might surprise you:

“I told him 10 years ago, quit saying you’re not black. Quit saying that because these people aren’t your friends. And when you screw up, I clearly didn’t think it would go to this level. These people aren’t your friends. You are black! Everybody else in the world who has a black father is black. That has been the only thing I have ever told Tiger, going back 10-15 years. Quit saying you aren’t black! When something goes bad you will be black!”

Retired NBA legend Charles Barkley appeared on Jay Leno’s show last night and couldn’t resist taking a couple of shots at his friend Sammy Sosa about his altered skin appearance.

Sosa showed up three weeks ago in Las Vegas as a white man, after several years of appearing MUCH darker at baseball stadiums across America.
