Middle Tennessee State University basketball player, Tina Stewart, was stabbed to death at her apartment yesterday evening in Murfreesboro, TN. According to Dnj.com:
Murfreesboro Police have confirmed that the fatal victim of an apparent assault at Raiders Crossings Apartments on Hazelwood Street as Lady Raider basketball player Tina Stewart.Stewart, 21, of Memphis died as a result of the incident, which occurred around 7 p.m., according to information from police spokesman Kyle Evans.
Police say Stewart suffered multiple ‘traumatic’ wounds and that an autopsy will be performed. They originally picked up two suspects in the slaying already.
Police have arrested Shanterrica Madden, an 18-year-old freshman at MTSU, in connection with the stabbing death of Lady Raider basketball player Tina Stewart.
“There was an argument,” Murfreesboro Police Spokesman Kyle Evans said. “During that argument, Madden stabbed the victim.”
