For 37 seconds, viewers of Super Bowl XLIII in the Tuscon, AZ area got to see something quite unexpected. The regular broadcast was interrupted by a feed from the X-rated “Club Jenna”. Instead of seeing the extra point attempt after a beautiful touchdown catch and run, fans got to see the beginning of an altogether different kind of score. KVOA reports:
Attorney General Tom Horne confirmed the arrest Friday evening of a Marana man accused of interrupting the Comcast Broadcast of the 2009 Super Bowl with x-rated pornography.
Frank Tanori Gonzalez was arrested on charges of fraud and computer tampering. The arrest comes two years after the February 1st incident.
The Super Bowl aired on KVOA in 2009 but only the Comcast customers’ broadcast was interrupted with the pornography.
Horne said Comcast suffered significant economic losses after the 37 second interruption.
I always knew there was something dirty about Comcast. But aside from children possibly seeing the naughty act, such displays are perfectly reasonable ways for sports fans to celebrate their team scoring a touchdown. In fact, out of 100 men surveyed, 103 of them fully approved of such celebratory activities.
