New York Jets assistant coach Sal Alosi, in one of the dirtier plays in the NFL this season, tripped the Miami Dolphins Nolan Carroll during a punt return of the Jets game against the Dolphins on Sunday.
Alosi likely will face a fine or suspension from the NFL. If the Jets have any integrity at all they will fire Alosi.
The trip injured Carroll at the time, but he appears to be fine now.
Alosi has apologized for his cowardly act.
