The Washington Redskins, in a move that is leaving a lot of NFL experts and fans shaking their heads, gave veteran QB Donovan McNabb a 5-year extension today worth $78 million dollars. Over $40 million dollars of the deal will be guaranteed.
This is the same McNabb that was benched two games ago, during the game’s last two-minutes, in favor of the horrific Rex Grossman.
McNabb has $78 million more reasons now to not be upset with head coach Mike Shanahan or the Skins.
The Redskins are akin to just tossing money away though. (see Albert Haynesworth)
