Memphis police found the body of missing former NBA and Memphis Tigers player Lorenzen Wright on Wednesday.
Wright had been missing since July 19th. Police are also investigating a 911 hang-up made from Wright’s phone on July 19th.
Family members believe foul play was involved in his disappearance and now death. He was found shot at least a dozen times.
Wright played 13 seasons in the NBA and is one of the most successful Tigers to play in the NBA.
Ren was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 1995 NBA Draft.
Wright is survived by his ex-wife Sherra Robinson Wright and six children. He is predeceased in death by an infant daughter. He was 34-years old.
In a sadly ironic twist, Lorenzen is the 4th member of the 1996 Clippers to have passed away.
