Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has the #1 selling jersey in the NFL over the past five months. His Vikings jersey sold more in a 10 day span after his late pre-season signing than any other jersey that has been sold since back in April.
Newness always helps: Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler ranked second and yet-to-play Philadelphia Eagles passer Michael Vick was fourth during that timeframe. The Favre phenomenon, however, seems like it’s just one of a kind.
Favre has made the Vikings..gulp…popular nationally for once. Haters can hate on Favre all they want but NFL teams wouldn’t still be giving him a job if he couldn’t help lead a team to more wins and sell mega-amounts of merchandise.
